Welcome to 1868 Crosby House in Brattleboro, Vermont

Formerly a full service Bed and Breakfast, the Crosby House is now a private residence offering two guest suites with en-suite kitchenettes, perfect for a short getaway or a long-term stay. 

This Italianate Victorian home built in 1868 by mill owner Edward C. Crosby as a wedding gift for his son has been lovingly restored to grant you every amenity. We are committed to making your visit an occasion for relaxation and renewal by offering the perfect setting for a peaceful respite from the busy world.

The house enjoys one of the best locations in the town! From here it’s just a short walk to downtown Brattleboro where you will find many unique shops, art galleries, museum and culinary delights coupled with our eclectic, small town ambiance.

Behind our beautiful Victorian gardens are 9 miles of trails in Vermont Land Trust woodlands! A great place to walk, ski or snowshoe and enjoy in every season.


 



Guest Rooms
Each suite is a private retreat, lovingly updated with maple floors, locally crafted queen beds, and clean, simple decor. Both suites have their own private entrance off of a shared porch (where you'll have your own sitting area), and inside you'll immediately find an open concept kitchenette, dining, and living space with a twin sofa bed for an extra visitor. The kitchenettes are fully equipped and stocked with coffee, tea, and all the basics you could need.
The full baths boast heated floors, generous storage, and tubs for soaking away the day.

Simply step outside and enjoy miles of walking, jogging or cross country skiing or biking on the trails behind the Crosby House. They promise an abundance of fresh air and magnificent views of Vermont's Green Mountains and Valleys. And it's just a short walk to downtown where you will find many unique shops and culinary delights.
